Subscription & Billing Information
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store credit card or payment details.

- Number of characters processed
- Timestamps of usage events
- Subscription tier status

Text Content Submitted for Processing
When you use Lector to generate audio:
- The text you submit is transmitted to our backend.
- The text is processed through OpenAI's text-to-speech API to generate audio.
- By default, we do not store or retain this text after processing.
- Text is processed solely to provide the Service.
- If future features allow saving content, storage will occur only when explicitly enabled by you.
Technical & Log Information
We may collect limited technical data such as:
- IP address
- Device/browser type
- Error logs
- Security and rate-limiting events
This information is used for security, fraud prevention, and system performance monitoring.
We do not log or store full text content submitted for processing.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service

Lector is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party providers.

- Account information for as long as your account remains active
- Subscription and billing records as required for legal and accounting purposes

We do not retain submitted text content after processing unless you explicitly enable a storage feature.

9. Browser Extension Permissions
The Lector Chrome extension requests the following permissions:
- activeTab – To read text from the current page when you activate Lector
- storage – To store user preferences locally
- identity – To manage secure authentication
We do not collect browsing history, passwords, or data from pages you do not explicitly choose to process.
10. Children's Privacy
Lector is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.
